Peugeot 3008 Parking Brake Fault
The Peugeot 3008 electronic parking brake can be automatically applied when the engine is switched off by pressing the start / stop button and is released automatically when the driver moves off (providing the doors are properly closed).
The driver can take over from automatic operation to manual operation of the parking brake by pulling the control lever up to apply the parking brake and pushing the lever down while depressing the foot brake to release it. Note: The parking brake will not release unless the brake pedal is depressed.
The parking brake warning light illuminates in the dashboard instrument display and on the parking brake lever to confirm the electronic parking brake has been applied. The warning light will go out once the parking brake has been fully released.
Electric Parking Brake Operating Faults

Parking in Cold Conditions
When parking your vehicle in very cold conditions, it’s recommended that the parking brake is not applied. On occasions, the parking brake can become frozen and will not release.
This can happen if parking brake components become wet whilst driving, then leaving the vehicle parked with the parking brake applied for an extended period, or if the vehicle has been kept in a warm, humid garage overnight, condensation may form on parking brake components and freeze.
To immobilise your car, leave the vehicle in gear with a manual gearbox, or for an automatic gearbox, select position P. If possible, place a chock against one of the wheels.
