  1. My 3008 vehicle doesn’t start today, only ignition light on but doesn’t start. Other function not working service indicater displayed Following instructions are displayed
    Engine faulty :stop the vehicle
    Parking brake faulty
    Automatic brake system faulty
Gear box faulty :have to repair the vehicle
    Under inflation monitoring faulty
    Energy saving mode active
Yom is 2018, done only 2400km
Is that a fault in battery, shall I try with jumping cord and a another battery

    1. Hello Upul,
Yes it does sound like an electrical fault and if the battery is discharged, you’ll need to find out why, else it’ll happen again. If you do many short journeys only, this can be hard on a battery and they tend to need replacing sooner. If the battery is fine (after a charge), then it’s possibly an electrical fault, could be the alternator not charging the battery correctly, a wiring fault etc.

    2. Hello Upul… my car displaying same faults as yours . My car starting but can’t drive 😒 and keep saying ENGINE FAULT – STOP ( RED COLOUR)

went to garage they saying about wet belt which is going to cost £1500 to repair

Just wanted to ask you was garage told you? Wet belt or electric fault?

  2. My car today started but when changing gear handle there was no response. Screen shows fault in gear box. So I stopped car and went for job. After coming from job I tried to start car and change gear it was working properly. What may be the cause and what I have to check.

  3. An amber spanner shows on start up sometimes & stays on until I stop the car. when I resart the car the spanner light stays out. This has happened several times.

    1. There’s no message of any kind to read? If you have nothing to go on, the only way forward is to have diagnostics in the hope that there’s a fault code that can be read.

  4. Hi I’m having some issues with my peaugeot 3008 HDI 2010 model, diesel consumption is abnormal and my AUTO “P” OFF light is illuminated and it affects the functionality of the electronic parking brake.so my question is what causes all this issues?

  5. ABS, ESP and P is on.. no fault when breaking.. could it be a sensor issue or a breaker? cruise controll does not work while these warning lights are on.. my back left wheel froze during the winter.. can I change the sensor myself?

..and WHY does the manual not correspond with the lights???? I have problems finding out what light to buy when I don’t know what it’s for…

    1. Hi Anita,
Yes, the usual problem is a wheel speed sensor. They’re prone to damage and wear simply due to their location. But before you go replacing things, you should ideally do a diagnostic test to check for fault codes. This will hopefully tell you what’s wrong and if it is a wheel speed sensor, it should tell you which one. Yes, you can replace it yourself. I’d suggest searching up some videos as this will be the easiest to follow.

  6. How do you reset the tpms. Light on. Tyre pressures all correct but light remains on. Took it for an mot but they won’t even look at it because of this. 3008 allure hid 2014.

    1. Hi Michelle,
I believe the Peugeot 3008 (2008 to 2016) uses an auto reset feature, meaning that there’s no ability to manually reset the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). You can use a TPMS tool that plugs into the OBDII socket that accesses the TPMS ECU. It can be used to relearn and reinitialises the TPMS. Do the tyres comply with Peugeot’s specification? It could also be a problem with the TPMS itself or one of the pressure sensors within a tyre.

  7. Hello,
I have a 3008 Diesel 2015 model which is showing STOP.
My diagnostics equipment shows only low fuel pressure but no codes..
I am aware of specific Peugeot diagnostics which may be able to place some light on
the fault but would appreciate any advice before placing the vehicle on that system.

  8. My 2017 Peugeot 3008 GTi flashed up with the word BREAKS in red only for a few seconds and alarmed where the speed monitor is and then went back to normal and hasn’t done it since. What does this mean?

    1. Hi Nicky,
I would think the flashing light was ‘BRAKE!’ and was part of the collision alert system. It flashes in red when the system detects an imminent collision, along with an audible alert. Sometimes these systems get it wrong, like for instance if you’re passing through parked cars. The Peugeot 3008 collision alert system makes use of the vehicle’s front mounted camera (located at the top-centre of the windscreen) and a radar (located on the vehicle’s lower front grille). Give the radar and your windscreen a clean and make sure they free from dirt or debris. This might help.
