What to do
It's advised that you immediately stop and check the brake fluid level (diagram 'A'). If you do not have any Jaguar brake fluid, use a non-petroleum based brake fluid meeting specification DOT4 ISO 4925 Class 6. Ensure the area around the cap is clear of dirt to avoid contaminating the fluid reservoir. If after filling with fluid the brake warning light remains on, seek assistance from Jaguar before continuing your journey.

Green: The green exhaust filter warning light illuminates when a successful regeneration has been completed.
Jaguar F-PACE Diesel DPF cleaning
Vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters collect particles in the exhaust filter and have a more efficient emissions control. These filters become full (saturated) and require cleaning (regeneration). This is usually done automatically but depending on driving habits such as frequent short journeys, the system may require driver intervention. If the amber or red warning light illuminate, exhaust filter cleaning is required. Drive at a steady speed of 37 mph and 70 mph (60 km/h and 112 km/h) for between 10 to 20 minutes. This can be done at a slower speed but the process takes longer. Try to avoid stopping the vehicle as this may interrupt the cleaning process. The warning light will go out when cleaning is successful. If the red exhaust filter warning light remains on after cleaning, contact a Jaguar workshop immediately as damage to the emissions control system could result.
Jaguar F-PACE petrol exhaust filter cleaning
As with the diesel version of the F-PACE, the filter may require cleaning with driver support. This may be the result of repetitive cold starts or continuous full-load driving. To clean the filter, drive steadily below 50 mph (80 km/h) for up to 15 minutes to clean the filter. The warning light will go out when the cleaning process is complete. If the red warning light remains on, contact a Jaguar workshop urgently to avoid emissions control damage.

1. Safely stop as soon as possible and ideally on level ground.
2. Switch off the engine immediately and wait for a few minutes for the oil to drain to the sump.
3. Check engine oil level and top up if required.
Warning
If oil levels are acceptable and did not require topping up, do not continue driving.

If the ABS warning light stays on after engine start or comes on while driving, there is a fault with the ABS system. Most common ABS faults involve wheels speed sensor or ABS module.
Electronic Brake Force Distribution
Electronic Brake Force Distribution or EBD is an additional braking feature that uses ABS sensors to increase or decrease brake pressure for individual wheels. A fault with the EBD system is indicated by the ABS warning light ABS + the brake warning light Brake. It's advised that you do not drive the vehicle until the fault is rectified. 1. You can also try cleaning the sensors in the front bumper. My ABS and other warning lights regularly come on when the car is dirty. Three times now I have just cleaned the sensors and the warning lights go out, all functionality restored. Much better than paying my Jaguar Dealership £199+VAT just to tell me what’s wrong and then a stupid price for a new ABS sensor I don’t need.
